Morwenstow Beaches

Duckpool Beach

Duckpool Beach is a small but wild cove enjoyed for its rough and exhilarating character.  Not a beach for swimming or surfing but great for dog walking and taking shots of the tempestuous Atlantic sea.

Situated between Morwenstow and Bude, Duckpool is often less busy than other beaches so ideal for those wanting to get away from it all.

Parking: 1 small car park at Duckpool.

Toilets: Public toilets at Duckpool.

Safety: No lifeguards.

Dogs: Dogs are welcome, although we would always advise checking this before you arrive.

Sandymouth Beach

Just a few miles north of Bude this large beach provides ample sand at low tide but is mostly pebbles when the tide is in.  Popular with surfers, with surf hire available, but again not ideal for swimming due to strong currents.

The beach is accessed by an inclining path from the National Trust car park then followed by some steps so is not suitable for all.

Parking: 1 car park at few minutes' walk from the beach.

Toilets: Toilets by the car park.

Facilities: A seasonal café.

Dogs: Dogs are welcome, although we would always advise checking this before you arrive.

Stanbury Mouth Beach

A quiet beach (due to limited facilities) but ideal for rockpooling and providing plenty of sand at low tide.  One of the most northerly beaches in Cornwall it is only a few miles from the Devon border.

The car parks are about a 20 minute walk away and the access path to the beach is a steep climb so this is a beach to explore if you are up for a challenge!

Parking: 2 small car parks about 20 minutes' walk from the beach.

Toilets: None.

Facilities: None.

Dogs: Dogs are welcome, although we would always advise checking this before you arrive.
