Porthleven Cottages

Porthleven is a vibrant little town, located on the west of The Lizard Peninsula. Set in the middle of a huge sweeping bay, Porthleven is the most southerly working port in the UK. Full of Cornish charm and tradition, the picturesque harbour here was completed in 1825 during Napoleonic times and some sources even state that it was built with the aid of French prisoners of war.

Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with a 3 mile long golden beach, Porthleven is ideal for a relaxing family holiday or those who enjoy walking. Offering panoramic views of Mount’s Bay, Porthleven, with its relaxing atmosphere and array of cafes and restaurants, is popular for its delicious seafood.  The whole of the Lizard Peninsula and many other areas of Cornwall, including Land’s End, are all within an easy distance for exploring.
