Short Breaks Explained
With so much on offer, Cornwall is the perfect choice for a short break… just a few days here will leave you refreshed, relaxed and ready to tell friends and family what a great time you have had!
Winter is a fabulous time to visit. Imagine long coastal walks, log fires in cosy pubs and great shopping and I am sure you’ll agree there’s no better place to be. And autumn here truly is a season of mist and mellow fruitfulness.
We offer short breaks of three-six nights all year round in almost all of our beautiful Cornwall cottages. Whatever the time of year, and no matter how long you can spend here, we’re sure to have something to suit. The following explains the dates when a short break can be booked, how much it costs and how to book.
When Can I?
Low Season short breaks – you can book online at anytime
You can book a short break in low season at any time, generally available from early January until May 25th (excluding February half term and Easter school holidays) and from November until just before Christmas week.
Mid Season short breaks – you can book online three weeks in advance
When things are getting busier, you can book a short break online four weeks before your holiday. Generally available from after Easter school holidays up to and including the week before May Half Term and from mid-September up to and including week before October Half Term.
Peak season short breaks- you can book online at short notice
In peak season, last minute short breaks are available for booking, normally less than two weeks in advance and does depend on circumstances. Cornish Horizons generally class peak season as summer, Easter, Christmas and any other school holiday week. Rates may differ from standard rates detailed below - please enquire.
How Much Do They Cost?
3 night short break; multiply weekly rent by 75% *
4 night short break; multiply weekly rent by 80% *
5 night short break; multiply weekly rent by 85% *
6 night short break; multiply weekly rent by 100%*
*NB. A few properties do not charge for Short Breaks in this way and a couple do not offer short break discounts at all. Please check the Information and Facilities section of the property details.
Short breaks all year

How Do I Book?
Short breaks can be booked online using the calendar on each individual property webpage. If you contact us, our friendly reservations team will do their best to find the ideal short break for you.
