With the Royal Wedding less than a week ago, we’ve been thinking about our holiday cottages in Cornwall which would make the perfect wedding venues. With seclusion and luxury in mind, we’ve selected our top five properties that would suit anyone looking for a unique twist on their big day!
Tregoninny Farmhouse & Barns near Truro
Set in over 190 acres of private land, with far-reaching countryside views, Tregoninny Farmhouse and Barns offers extensive gardens and lawns, with a patio terrace, perfect for outside marquees and receptions. The farmhouse itself along with five separate barns/annexes can sleep up to 22 adults.
Burncoose House, near Falmouth
Luxury awaits in this Georgian residence, which is set in 38 acres of delightful gardens. Burncoose House itself can accommodate up to 14 people and has been completely renovated to become a truly luxurious sanctuary. The grandeur is evident as you approach along the magnolia and rhododendron-lined driveway.
Peacehay Barn near Padstow
Peacehay Barn is a brand new 5* Gold house which has been built to the highest specification. Offering amazing countryside views and extensive outdoor space, the owners have thought about everything to ensure guests have the ultimate experience. Sleeping 12 people, Peacehay Barn offers everything with Trevibban Mill Vineyard just down the road where you can pop in for a drink or two!
Trenoweth House near Helston
Situated in a secluded rural setting, Trenoweth House is a magnificent grade II listed building. The house offers two formal reception rooms and is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens with sensational countryside views. Trenoweth House also has shared access to an apple orchard, woodland and pond.
Subject to availability you can book Trenoweth House and three cottages at Trenoweth and accommodate 20 people.
Coastguard Cottage West, near Padstow
Coastguard Cottage West is a beautiful 4* property, which as the name implies was originally built for the coastguard. Offering spectacular panoramic views, it’s easy to understand why as you can see for miles out to sea and along the coast. Sleeping 10 people, complete with a large garden, what more could you want?
