Situated in a secluded rural setting in the pretty hamlet of Crowan, Trenoweth House is a magnificent grade 2 listed building that has been lovingly restored to provide a truly unique stay for up to twelve guests. Formerly a vicarage, the house has undergone extension renovation over recent years, sympathetically restoring many of the original features as well as adding a modern element to the new design. Large granite walls, open fireplaces and exposed beams are seamlessly intertwined with sleek modern architecture, including a glass ceiling kitchen extension complete with wood fired pizza oven. The rustic dining room with triple height ceiling is an indulgent space for entertaining, whilst the library provides a cosier retreat to relax in. The two formal reception rooms at the back of the property look out over the sensational garden, framing the view between the original arched windows.
The bedrooms offer a selection of double and twin rooms, perfect for families or groups of friends that require flexible sleeping arrangements. The five bathrooms across the top two floors offer luxury rainfall showers, with the family bathroom providing a gorgeous roll top bath to soak in. Space in this property is in abundance, which makes it ideal for multiple families.
The house is surrounded by extensive gardens that have been beautifully landscaped to make the most of the outside space. Grass steps from the formal garden lead you to an expansive lawn with sensational countryside views. At the bottom of the garden there is a large pond that is fed from the fresh water stream that runs down the side of the garden. Follow the gravel pathway around the pond and explore the hidden woodland that surrounds it. Please note that the pond is not fenced off so children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
There are also three separate holiday cottages that share this estate – Coachman’s Cottage (sleeps 4), Gardener’s Cottage (sleeps 2) and Woodman’s Cottage (sleeps 2). These can be booked with Trenoweth House for additional accommodation if required.
This property offers a low occupancy discount of 20% for groups of 8 or less at certain times of the year.
Access is via a private driveway that leads to a large parking area.
