Must-see places in Cornwall revealed

Cornwall is undoubtedly a magical county that attracts hordes of holidaymakers every year and now some of the must-see places in the county have been revealed in an article.

Holidaymakers that have been fortunate enough to stay in St Ives holiday cottages will know that this part of Cornwall in particular is full of stunning places. Unsurprisingly, these places have made the list.

The article, which is on the Western Morning News website, looks at the 15 must-see places in Cornwall and Devon – a task that must have been extremely difficult considering how many beauty spots cover both counties.

Land’s End lands the number one spot

Land’s End is within driving distance from popular holiday destinations such as St Ives, but it is not its convenience that has meant it has made the must-see list. Instead, the most Westerly point of Cornwall made the list because of its breathtaking views and the marine life it attracts.

Sennen Cove in the south of Cornwall came third in the list of must-see places, with its beautiful sandy beach attracting surfers and other beach goers.

Another cove that is a must-visit destination when on holiday in the Duchy is Kynance Cove. The turquoise water, islands and caves make it one of the Westcountry’s prettiest places, which is perhaps why it is also one of the most photographed beaches in Cornwall.

The Eden Project is the other must-see destination in Cornwall that made the top 10. The indoor rainforest was lauded for its appeal to the whole family. As well as its biomes, the Eden Project has huge outdoor gardens and a number of other attractions that visitors can enjoy come rain or shine.

The other must-see attractions in Cornwall that made the top 15 list include The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock House in Bodmin, Carnglaze Caverns, Cotehele House and Mount Edgecumbe.
