St Columb Cottages
Six miles inland from Newquay, you will find the parish of St Columb Major which includes St Columb town, the lovely hamlet of Tregatillian and the Retallack Resort where you will find a whole host of activities including Cornwall’s only Flowrider (a surf machine allowing you to hone your surfing skills before hitting the waves!).
St Columb is a picturesque town which enjoys a central location in Cornwall, within a fifteen minutes’ drive of many popular destinations including Padstow, Newquay and Wadebridge. The area isn’t short of amenities with a number of excellent pubs and restaurants, serving a variety of food whether you want pizza, fish and chips, Chinese takeaways or a good old Cornish cream tea. For families, the Cornish Birds Of Prey Centre is just up the road, as well as Camle Creek Adventure Park (with a great selection of rides to keep kids of all ages amused, and lots of animals including pets corner and the ever popular Shire horses), and the Lappa Valley Railway, with plenty of diversions including crazy golf, a boating lake, play areas and nature trails.
