Top Places for a Cornish Christmas Day Lunch
Published: Thursday 3rd Oct 2019
Oh yes, it’s that time of year again! Whether you are tinsel-clad fanatic or, well, a bit of a Grinch, there’s no denying the allure of a piping hot Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. If you are lucky enough to find yourself in Cornwall this Yuletide, we can certainly recommend some places to go to munch on lunch, toast to the roast and wavey to the gravy (sorry, there are no excuses for that last one) on Christmas Day 2019.
Without further ado, here are the top 5 places for a Christmas Day lunch in Cornwall this year:
The Norway Inn, Perranarworthal
Sat at the head of Restronguet Creek between Truro and Falmouth, the Norway Inn is a popular pub positively oozing with character. For anyone staying in one of our luxury cottages in the area over Christmas, we definitely recommend checking out their festive menu, which can be found here. As well as traditional favourites, there are also fantastic pescatarian and vegetarian options, too.
County Arms, Truro
Right in Truro’s picturesque city centre, the County Arm’s restaurant is spreading a whole lot of cheer this year. Offering a special Christmas menu, including starters, mains and desserts, you can take the worry out of Christmas Day preparations and indulge in lovingly crafted dishes. All the fun, all the food, all the fizz – and no washing up!
The Greenbank, Falmouth
Located in the picture-perfect waterside town of Falmouth, a Christmas lunch at the Greenbank will tick all the boxes. Delicious food? Check. Friendly service? Check. Superb views? Check. Making your day as relaxed (and flavoursome) as possible, take a look at their menu and look forward to a well-deserved roast, washed down with a glass of vino, or two, or three… Well, it is Christmas!
