Fortunately, there are a number of year-round dog-friendly beaches in Cornwall which mean coastal escapades are always on the table. Set fluffy bundles of energy loose on irresistibly soft sand and watch as they dive with unbridled ecstasy into the sea. Nothing completes a holiday like the company of all the pack, and Cornish beaches are the perfect location for celebration whatever the weather.

Perranporth

Home of the famous dog-friendly Watering Hole bar and restaurant, Perranporth beach is a must visit. A huge sandy beach, at low tide it joins together with neighbouring Penhale Sands to create a sweeping 3-mile stretch, one of the largest expanses of unbroken sand on the North Coast.

Watergate Bay

A short drive north of Newquay, Watergate Bay is a familiar name for most Kernowfornians. Boasting 2 miles of golden sands, your dog won’t be able to resist bounding joyfully along the sand before going for a cooling dunk in the surf!

Fistral

One of the top year-round dog-friendly beaches in Cornwall, Fistral is known by many to be the home of British surfing. While your dog may be not so impressed by the whippet fast dynamos cutting shapes in the surf, they will certainly love the space to trot around and sniff out all manner of exciting new smells.

Kennack Sands 

Located on the wild and rugged Lizard Peninsula, Kennack Sands is a popular choice for families looking to soak up the sunshine and enjoy easy access to facilities. Split in two by a towering dune, not many people know that the furthest section of the beach is actually dog-friendly all year; great news for tufty-pawed pals!

Mexico Towans

Part of the stunning 4-mile stretch of sand from the mouth of the Hayle estuary to the Godrevy Point, Mexico Towans tucks between Hayle Towans and Upton Towans. Backed by mighty dunes and met by glorious blue sea, it is the perfect spot for a stroll with your pup. Just remember the ball!

Pedn Vounder

Reached by a tricky but manageable cliff path or at low tide from neighbouring Porthcurno, Pedn Vounder is another popular choice amongst the canine world. Renowned for its almost Caribbean-esque waters and sugary sand, it’s a true haven to be enjoyed by all members of the family. 

Constantine Bay 

A huge sandy beach that neighbours Booby's Bay, Constantine Bay is an ideal playing ground for games of fetch along the shore. Trace the gently sweeping arc of the bay and watch as the energy of the surfers in the sea is rivalled by only that of your furry hooligan darting along the sand. 

Daymer Bay

From bracing winter walks to endless summers of fun, let your loyal friend enjoy the wonders of Daymer Bay. 6 miles north of Wadebridge, this delightful beach is relatively off the beaten track and therefore not as busy as some of its neighbours. All the more space to play!

Carne Beach

A golden sand beach on the beautiful Roseland Peninsula, Carne Beach is great for both two and four-legged outdoor enthusiasts. Let the revitalising kiss of salty air set your spirits soaring and cuddle up with your pup on the sand, admiring the views of Nare Head and the sea.

Vault Beach

Found on the eastern side of Dodman Point, Vault Beach is a bow shaped belt of sand that gently slopes towards the sea. Your dog will have a blast making use of its year-round dog-friendly status; although, it may be worth pointing out that the far end of the beach is a recognised nudist area!
