Looking for things to do near Newquay? Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm is a great value day out for the whole family.
A working cyder farm steeped in history, which has been brewing award-winning ciders, wines, and fruit juices, for over 30 years. Not content with just producing some of the best ciders in Cornwall, the Healey family have developed the farm further to make it an unmissable visitor attraction in Cornwall.
There’s a wide-range of tours available, allowing you to take a peek behind the curtain one of the largest cyder manufacturers in the UK, and the only distillery of its kind in Cornwall for 300 years. The full guided tour will take you through every single part of the process (including the jam kitchen), whilst some of our smaller tours allow you a little glimpse of what they get up to here. All of these include a complimentary taste-testing of over 20 products. There’s fruit juices for the kids, and cyders & wines for the parents (if you fancy a little tipple, that is).
Kids, and adults alike, will love taking a vintage tractor ride on ‘Bertha’ through the 20 acres of Cornish orchards especially during blossom and harvest seasons where they are looking their absolute best.
There’s so much more to the farm than just cyder-making. There’s the Old Bottlery Restaurant, serving hearty home-cooked meals throughout the day, using the finest local ingredients and some of those grown on the farm. There’s also the Tea Rooms serving up a selection of tea and homemade scones, all slathered with lavish helpings of Healeys very own jam.
There’s plenty to look at and enjoy with your family. Have a look around our cyder-making museum, visit the friendly farm animals, and keep an eye out for free-roaming peacocks or Fred, the farm cat.
You can purchase any of Healeys wondrous ciders, wines, spirits, or juices, as well as a collection of merchandise to take home with you. The perfect keepsake for a perfect day.
So what are you waiting for? We guarantee you’ll find a day jam-packed with fun at Healeys Cyder Farm, whatever the weather.
Dogs are welcome to visit the farm as long as they are kept on a lead. Find out where on the farm you and your furry friend can visit at www.healeyscyder.co.uk
