"After spending many memorable holidays with our children in this part of Cornwall, we are now lucky enough to live in this wonderful part of the country and are able to take full advantage of the environment year round, from swimming and sunbathing on one of the many superb beaches, walking the local paths, storm watching or just relaxing in one of the many pubs along this part of the coast."

Beaches

"You are never short of beaches down here. Marazion has a huge beach which is safe for toddlers and Kite surfers alike, even in the height of summer you can always find your own pitch on this beach without having to take the car. There are many other great beaches just a short drive away including Kynance, Praa Sands, Porthcurno, Sennen and St. Ives. We often find that if the weather isn’t so good on one coast, a twenty minute drive to the other will find sunshine! We also like exploring the lesser known hidden coves and beaches along the coast."

Lovely Walks

"We enjoy the local walks in and around Marazion. The “must do” walk is across the causeway to the Mount. Other favourites of ours include the walk east along the coastal walk to Perranuthnoe with a stop at The Victoria Inn, the flat walk along the shore to Penzance and the walk through the The RSPB Marazion Marsh Nature Reserve. We have great fun looking at the map and planning our own walks where we are treated to some stunning scenery and more than often, a display from the local seals and dolphins."

Eating Out

"Eating and drinking is no problem either. From pasties, pubs to fine dining, Marazion has a wonderful array to tempt you after a family day on the beach or a coastal walk. We love Philps for our pasties, The Godolphin Arms for a delicious Tarquins G&T, The Cutty Sark or The Fire Engine for a pint and meal or for a real treat Ben’s Cornish Kitchen. Another great place nearby for food and drink is Porthleven with great restaurants and pubs, our favourite being The Atlantic Inn."

Blythswood

"All in all, we love Blythswood as a holiday home because it is light and airy, has plenty of space, is well equipped with quality furniture, fixtures and fittings and enjoys the view of the sea when you wake up in the morning from the front bedroom as well as from the lounge and dining room. Our cottage garden is the perfect place to sit and enjoy the afternoon sun with your cup of tea, or something stronger after a busy day on the beach or walking."
