We invited one of our holidaymakers to share their experience of a day holidaying in Cornwall!
I’m quite the adventurous type, but have to admit I’d not donned a wet suit for many water sports prior to holidaying in Cornwall this week. My boyfriend and I are staying in the Truro area which makes it easy to get out to all parts of Cornwall and we’ve planned a full itinerary of sightseeing and trying new things. When planning our trip we definitely wanted to push outside our comfort zone and get in the surf! Cornish Horizons had recommended Newquay Activity Centre so that was our first port of call. We have to say, from start to finish, the whole experience was enjoyable. Booking was easy, the staff and instructors were super friendly and didn’t make us feel like wallies!
The morning was spent body boarding, getting soaked and perfecting our technique…
That afternoon, Brendan took us for a spot of SuperSUP. Now, I had tried this previously by myself and wasn’t that fussed about doing it again. However, as a group, it was so much fun. Brendan was very reassuring, made us feel safe but also gave us lots of games to play – which ultimately ended up with us getting soaked!
If you’re looking to try a new water sport or improve your technique with something you’ve already tried, I’d 100% suggest calling NAC – you will not be disappointed!
