Many of our friends have done extremely well at the annual South West Tourism Excellence Awards, which was held last night (2nd February 2017). Here are some of our highlights:

•    The Eden Project won Gold in the ‘Access and Inclusivity’ award.•    Newquay Activity Centre who Silver in the ‘Active and Sporting Experience’ award. •    Rick Stein's Cookery School won Silver in the ‘Artistic, Cultural & Learning Experience’ award.•    Looe Music Festival won Silver in the ‘Tourism Event & Festival of the Year’ award.

With over 465 people attending, it was the biggest ever regional gathering of South West tourism businesses, with 135 different awards presented following a rigorous judging process in which a record 605 entries were considered.

The full list of Finalists and Highly Commended entrants is shown below and can also be found at www.southwesttourismawards.org.uk
