A blog for the dogs!

Calling all our four legged friends!  From tomorrow many of Cornwall’s beaches will allow you onto their golden sands to enjoy the sea, salty air and sun!

From 1st October the seasonal dog ban that is in place over some of Cornwall’s beaches is lifted meaning your furry friends are again allowed to explore – below are a few our favourites:

St George's Cove, Padstow

A large sandy beach near the mouth of the Camel Estuary. Near the town so perfect for popping back for an ice cream or cup of tea after your stroll!

Porth Beach near Newquay

Golden sands on the outskirts of Newquay with plenty of facilities; the pub is practically on the beach for a drink in the sun!

Readymoney Cove, Fowey

A secluded sandy cove just outside of Fowey.  Only about half a mile from the centre of town and a real favourite of locals and visitors alike.

Porthminster and Porthmeor beaches, St Ives

The restaurants in St Ives are blessed with large sandy beaches practically on their doorsteps.  Work up an appetite strolling along the beautiful beaches and then enjoy the fine dining and local seafood this town is so famous for.

Trevone Bay, near Padstow

A popular bay for all the family.  There’s an adjacent rocky beach to explore and as well as a shop and café.

Porthtowan, near St Agnes

A top surfing beach with large dunes to explore.  There are shops, cafes and great walking trails all near the beach.

Plus, many of our dog friendly cottages are offering a ‘Dogs go free in September and October’ promotion.  Even more reason to spend your holiday with your best friend!
