Sennen Cove, at the very tip of Cornwall near Land’s End, has been named one of the best beaches for surfing in the world!
The Guardian newspaper has recently included the spectacular beach at Sennen Cove in its list of top 10 best surfing beaches from around the globe.
Lauded for its reliable breakers and fantastic atmosphere, Sennen Cove has it all; consistent surf, dramatic scenery, a surf school (or you can just hire the equipment), cafés, galleries, a pub, a few shops and it is not as crowded as many of Cornwall’s other popular surfing spots such as Newquay.
The little harbour, that is still a working fishing port, the cove and the village are shielded from the Atlantic winds by the Pedn-men-du headland which also provides some excellent opportunities for avid climbers. The stunning rugged scenery is much-loved by walkers with beaches, coves, and plenty of majestic granite cliffs to explore.
