Good news and bad news.  First, as is traditional, the bad news.  The second series of the sensationally popular BBC One drama will be delayed in its release - now not airing until autumn 2016.  But the good news (and there’s plenty of it), is that there will be 10 episodes in the new series instead of 8; it promises to be just as exciting and entertaining as the last series and once again it is mostly filmed in the breath-taking county of Cornwall.  

The upcoming series is taken from Winston Graham’s third and fourth Poldark novels with the adaptation promising to deliver plenty of drama in Ross and Demelza’s lives and some new characters along the way.  One character that will stay the same, one of the most important in securing the success of the series, is the Cornish landscape.  Radio Times readers have recently voted Poldark’s Cornwall their favourite location for a TV series (with Doc Martin in 3rd place).  Audiences are captivated by the intense moods of the Cornish landscape – the rough, exhilarating moors, the panoramic clifftop views, vast sandy beaches and idyllic rocky coves.
