East Looe beach is a popular choice for holidaymakers - especially when the sun is shining. It is a great choice for families, with it's close proximity to the bustling town of Looe and ideal amenities on the beach itself.

East Looe:

In the height of the summer months, there are loads of activities for the kids to enjoy, including trampolining and slides! For those who love taking a dip in the British sea, there is easy access to the water, which means even the kids can take a splash! If you fancy a more relaxing day soaking up the sun with an ice cream to hand, you've got plenty of choice of cafes. You may even be lucky to spot a few fishing boats sailing in - or for an unforgettable day out, why not take a trip around the coastline on a boat?

Whitsand Bay:

We love Whitsand Bay here at Looe and Polperro Holidays! Whitsand Bay is a beach with amazing character and some extraordinary scenery. It's one of Cornwall's hidden gems. There are three miles of golden sand and the sea is ideal for those who love to hit the waves on a surf board. Unfortunately, it can be a little uneven getting to the beach and the paths can be steep, however, if you are a competent walker, it is a stunning way stroll to take. If your four-legged friend loves the sand between it's paws then it'll ove Whitsand Bay all year round! Make sure you check out the award-winning restaurant, The View, for a bite to eat and some outstanding views from the top of the cliff.

Portwrinkle:

Portwrinkle is close to Whitsand Bay and has some similarities to Whitsand Bay beach. Portwrinkle beach is sand and shingle, with several rock pools for a great day out with the kids. The east side of the beach, known as Finnygook Beach, is popular with surfers, so why not try something new; squeeze a wet suit on and take the waves? Another exciting reason to venture to Portwrinkle beach is it's small harbour with a lot of history behind it. The village itself has no shops apart from the beach car park cafe.

Seaton:

If you want to give the family a day to remember on a wonderful beach with a great cafe, shops and toilets, go to Seaton beach. There is a newly invested in, play park on the green behind the beach. It is ideal for those who love to sail and fishing is very popular here too. We love Seaton beach as there is a lovely path to the nearby beach of Downderry where you can see the local fishermen casting out there lines! Children will have a good level of safety in the river if they fancy a paddle and they will love Seaton beach even more when they know they can get an ice cream after a lovely lunch at Seaton Beach Cafe! The beach is ideal for taking the dog out too. The beach is pebbled and sandy.

Talland Bay:

Talland Bay is a gorgeous secluded beach situated between Looe and Polperro, so an ideal day out if you're staying in one of our Looe or Polperro cottages! The beach is perfect for a swim but there can be quite a high tide, so be careful and make sure you are a competent swimmer. Our favourite places to visit while at Talland Bay are the coves and natural tidal pools as they are peaceful and full of underwater creatures. There is a lovely little cafe to grab a snack after a morning at the beach, so venture up to Talland Beach Bay Cafe for a delicious panini or Cornish Cream Tea.
