The great experiences found across Cornwall have been praised in an interesting new initiative created by VisitEngland, one which asks the public to list their 101 Things to do Before You Go Abroad.

Ten fantastic experiences across the Duchy made their way onto the coveted list, compared to just two which can be enjoyed in neighbouring Devon. One of the stars was the Minack Theatre in Porthcurno, a truly unique performance arena which is carved into a granite cliff face – offering a splendid experience during the summer months. Another highlights Redruth as the perfect place to eat a proper Cornish Pasty, being the place where the iconic snack was first created.

These are just two of the great attractions which are highlighted in the guide, with the full list available to view here. If you are looking forward to visiting the region on your Cornwall cottage holidays in the coming months, the guide could offer some ideas to help plan your itinerary.
