A joint promotion between Cornwall Wildlife Trust and the Devon and Cornwall Rail Partnership has seen a new initiative launched that encourages passengers on the route of the St Ives branch rail line to embrace the beauty and wildlife offered up by the surrounding region.

Thousands of posters and leaflets have been produced to champion travelling by train on the St Ives Bay Line in an effort to encourage a greater appreciation of local flora and fauna.

The project has received support from train operator First Great Western, with promotional material appearing at stations throughout the company's network, with stations as far away as Bristol, Reading and London Paddington hosting posters and leaflets.

Should you be planning a holiday to one of the wonderful St Ives cottages, why not travel by train and enjoy the amazing natural landscape that is on show in Cornwall?
