Award Winning Cornish Pasty Recipes to be Published

Those who enjoyed a traditional Cornish pasty on their Cornwall cottage holidays in the past will be able to research the secrets behind an award winning recipe.

The world pasty champion Billy Deakin, twice winner of the new and prestigious World Pasty Championships held at the Eden Project earlier in the year, has written a guide to preparing the celebrated dish.

Entitling the publication 'How To Make An Award-Winning Cornish Pasty', Mr Deakin features his championship recipe, plus others for traditional, modern and sweet pasties.

Labelled a 'celebration of the pasty' by the author himself, he has launched a fundraising campaign on Kickstarter – a 'crowd-sourcing' platform – to raise £1,200 to help him with the printing costs and get a 'few thousand copies of the book' ready to go.
