Cornwall: The Best Place to See Dolphins

Two destinations in southern Cornwall have recently been named amongst the best in the world to see dolphins by a number of international whale conservation experts.

The group behind the report, Planet Whale, have named both Lizard Point and Penzance as some of the best dolphin spotting locations in the country, which is great news for those enjoying a holiday in nearby St Ives Cottages. The two Cornish spots are said to be an excellent destination to see Common, Risso's and Bottlenose Dolphins as well as the Harbour Porpoise and Basking Shark.

The co-founder of Planet Whale, Dylan Walker, commented on the recent announcement, saying that it had been made in an effort to promote awareness of these amazing mammals in the UK, adding that you needn’t travel thousands of miles abroad to see these beautiful creatures.
