Meet the Owner – Ship Shape and Penrose Burden Collection

For over 25 years, Cornish Horizons has been successfully letting holiday cottages throughout Cornwall. Not only are we committed to offering the highest possible levels of customer service to our guests, we also strive to maintain a friendly, yet professional service to all our homeowners.

Jane Moore is one of our newest owners to join our portfolio and owns the stunning Ship Shape in Padstow as well as seven cottages near Wadebridge, known collectively as Penrose Burden. We wanted to know what she thought of our service so far and what made her choose to become a holiday home owner. 

What made you choose Cornish Horizons to be your agent?

The staff in the office at Padstow were so friendly and helpful and the company seem to have a wider area remit than other holiday letting agencies in the town.

What have you enjoyed about our service so far?

All the advice and helpful hints plus the detailed photo shoots, it's good to have a bit of hand holding if you haven't done it before.

What was it that first inspired you to start letting?

Having been to many self-catering cottages in the past, large and small we thought that we could do a great job setting some up as we knew exactly what the expectation was. We also enjoy being hosts to guests and ensuring everyone has a good time.

What advice do you have for potential property owners who are thinking about holiday letting?

Always try to under promise and over deliver, you want guests to be pleasantly surprised so it's good when their expectations are over achieved – and always remember the small things, they go a long way.
