A day in the life of a property expert

We are always looking for fantastic new properties to add to our selection of cottages.  Our team of property experts can be found out and about across the county seeing if they can find you somewhere amazing for your holiday!

One of our resident experts, Sophie, has shared what a day is like for her.

As a Property Manager, my working day is never the same and we are very lucky to have such a varied role that enables us to meet so many fantastic homeowners and visit so many beautiful homes!

8.05 am - The start of my day doesn’t change much though… coffee and an email check!

10 am - I have my first visit of the day planned with a potential owner at a lovely cottage in Wadebridge.  I take along some useful information about holiday letting with Cornish Horizons and answer all of the questions owners may have about joining our portfolio.  We really do know our stuff and we’re eager to help make letting an achievable goal!

12pm - Home for a quick spot of lunch - which is usually shared with two small companions!

12.30 pm - Time to write my follow-up assessment of my visit this morning (fear not - we don’t expect everyone to remember all of our suggestions and advice so we are happy to send it on!).

2 pm - I have another visit booked to meet a potential new owner in Withiel.  Another stunning country cottage that would sit perfectly in our portfolio.  I get to meet Emma, Paul and adorable 2 year old Max who is almost as obsessed with dogs as I am!

4pm - I am meeting our current owners of Kelmscot at a property they are buying in Little Petherick which they would like to join our portfolio also. I already assessed the property when they were first deciding whether to purchase and now I’m meeting them to give them some extra advice on any changes that need to be made to make this a successful holiday home.  We like to be involved from the very beginning in your home buying journey to offer helpful advice along the way.  After all, we are a truly local team, with local knowledge and expertise!
