With all areas of the Westcountry being blessed in beautiful sunshine during July, holidaymakers in the region are certainly happy to have kept their faith in the Great British summer getaway.

The plethora of traditional seaside towns are also proving enticing for the rich and famous, with Perranporth being just one location described as an irresistible haunt for celebrities. It's certainly been the case for the Pavillion Boatshed Restaurant, which recently hosted Dancing on Ice stars Matt Lapinskas and his partner Brianne Delcourt. Perhaps more recognisable as Anthony Moon from Eastenders, Lapinskas shared champagne and lobsters with Delcourt, completing their dining experience with a traditional cream tea. It isn't the first famous face to sample the establishment's cuisine, with the cast from The Inbetweeners and DJ Sara Cox also visiting in the past.

If you are looking forward to your Cornwall cottage holidays this summer, be sure to come along to Perranporth and discover just why it is becoming so popular.
